Welcome to the Strathmore Farmers’ Market
Established in 1995, the Strathmore Farmers’ Market is proud to be an Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market and a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting local farmers, bakers, artisans, and small businesses.
Our market is guided by a committed volunteer Board of Directors, who set the rules, regulations, and long-term vision that help ensure the continued success of the market. If you would like to have your say and you’re passionate about supporting local businesses and community connections, we’re always looking for new board members. Please contact us to learn more about attending a meeting and getting involved.
Tracy serves as our full-time Market Manager and brings many years of experience in our market operations. Her expertise and leadership play a key role in the continued success of the Strathmore Farmers’ Market.

A Tradition of Community and Growth
For the past three decades, the Strathmore Farmers’ Market has been more than just a place to shop — it has been a cornerstone of community, sustainability, and fresh, locally sourced food.
Over the years, the Strathmore Farmers’ Market has called two locations home, including our current location at the Strathmore Kinsmen Park Pavilion and the Strathmore & District Ag Society Exhibition Grounds. We’ve had the privilege of hosting hundreds of incredible vendors, many of whom have gone on to build thriving and successful businesses.
If you’re interested in becoming part of our market community, please visit our Become a Vendor page to learn how you can be part of our growing tradition.
A Rich History of Growth and Connection
What began as a small gathering of dedicated farmers and artisans has grown into a vibrant weekly tradition, bringing the community together every Friday afternoon from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Over the years, the market has expanded in both size and impact, fostering meaningful connections between local producers and customers who value quality, transparency, and sustainability.
While the market has evolved — welcoming new vendors, hosting special events, and offering an ever-growing selection of fresh produce, handmade goods, and unique local products — its core mission has remained the same. Guided by the “Make it, Bake it, Grow it” philosophy, the market continues to support local farmers and makers, promote healthy eating, and create a welcoming space for the community to gather.
Honoring Our Vendors
At the heart of the Strathmore Farmers’ Market are the farmers, bakers, crafters, and artisans who make it possible. Their passion, hard work, and dedication are what bring the market to life each week. Many vendors have been part of the market since its early days, while new vendors continue to bring fresh ideas and energy.
If you’re interested in becoming a vendor and joining this vibrant market community, we kindly ask that you review and respect our Market Rules and Regulations to help ensure a positive experience for everyone.
Community, Celebration, and Looking Ahead
As we look toward the future, the Strathmore Farmers’ Market remains committed to its founding values. Plans for continued growth, sustainability initiatives, and new community programs are underway to ensure the market continues to thrive for generations to come.
